Tom Dean is a completely self-taught artist working in exotic woods of the world. His one-of-a-kind hand carved sculptures have sold to private collectors, corporations and individuals across the US. In 2009, he was introduced as one of the best wood workers in the country by Cowboys & Indians magazine. In 2012, he was awarded one of the highest awards given by the Montana Arts Council and co-sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts – the Montana Circle of American Masters award for his excellence in the arts. His work has been published in many national and international publications including: Cowboys & Indian magazine, Big Sky Journal, American Angler, Western Art Collector, Wood Carving Illustrated, Western Art & Architecture and Wood Carving magazine out of Sussex, England.
