Last Call for the Bayou

(from Sitka)

Wade into the Louisiana marsh with the best duck hunter in Plaquimines Parish for an intimate look at why the wetlands are vital to the nation.

Albertine Kimble, rugged and quirky, is the best duck hunter in the parish. As The former coastal plan manager for the Parish she knows Plaquimines wetlands better than almost anyone. Watch as she explains how our human engineering has prevented the Mississippi River from flowing its natural course and deprives the wetlands of needed nutrients and sediment. As Albertine takes us to her favorite hunting spots she shares with us how the dying marsh is disrupting the Mississippi Flyway as witnessed through the intimate familiarity she has with over 40 years of avid hunting.
